” How to read this cafe’s name?” When I saw this cafe in the first time, I didn’t know how to read it. I read this cafe’s name a few time in front of the cafe’s signboad. In Japanese, “5” is called ” GO” . It means ” Ringo Life” ? Yes, it calls “Rin5(go)life” . Ringo means ” Apple” in Japanese. So, now you understand that this cafe must have some specialities by an apple!
Yes, an owner in this cafe is from Aomori and he has an apple farm in Aomori. So, this cafe uses this apple for their sweets and drink.
Taking about Aomori, Aomori is famous prefecture for producing apple in Japan. So, we definitely must be able to have nice apple sweets in this cafe!
Where is the cafe?
Rin5life is located in the road along the elevated railroad for Denent-shi line. When you find this cafe by walking for 3mins from Aobadai station, you must feel that this cafe looks a kind of hidden gem. When you see their entrance, you feel excited! Painting of apples in the entrance welcomes us.
Atmosphere
Once you go inside of cafe, a big silver apple ornament welcomes us with friendly staff. The cafe ambient is casual and cozy as if you visit friend’s house. Staff gave me a sofa seat where I can relax at home.
Rin5life signature sweets is” Apple & Pie” however I couldn’t order it because I had too much food in my lunch. Yes, Rin5life Apple & Pie is very big and gorgeous! ( I regretted that I didn’t order it in the end). Please make sure to try this signature sweets if you go this cafe!
Instead of signature sweets, I ordered an caramel apple cake and burdock(Gobou) tea . Beautiful taste of apple slice on the cake with caramel sauce. Needless to say, apple is very sweet and yummy!
And burdock tea keep me warn with unique taste. You might wonder, “Burdock?” yes, this burdock tea is surprisingly nice! This burdock is also from Aomori prefecture. I ordered this unique tea though, the cafe has coffee, tea and of course, there is apple juice ,too!
There are many apple stuff and the stuff from Aomori prefecture in the entrance area. Souvenir for someone?
In Rin5life , we can also enjoy lunch in the afternoon and dinner with wine in the evening as well. So, we can enjoy it depends on the occasion.
