Actually, if we live in Aobadai, we can enjoy a variety of world cuisines. One of them is Korean food.

Today’s our report is Korean restaurant. It is very popular restaurant in our town ; Han Gan Sun-Du-Bu(漢江純豆腐). Well, what is Sun-Du-Bu? (Pronunciation : Soon Doo Boo) Sun-Du-Bu is a soup-based dish made with tofu. It is a very popular breakfast menu in Korea. However, this dish is loved by Korean food’s lovers for all-day meals, not just breakfast time.

1.Restaurant

Han Gan Sun-Du-Bu is located in the back street of the Kanjyo No.4 (main street in Aobadai area). If you turn down the side street from the main street, you’ll find

The entrance in the restaurant, it’s very traditional Japanese house style. It is very exciting to open the entrance door as if we go Japanese friend’s house.

2. Food

I ordered ” Lunch set “(990yen) which have 3 types of Korean regular dishes(Kimuchi, Korean seasoned vegetable, Rice) . For ingredients of the Sun-Du-Bu , we can order from several selections. I ordered seafood (crams, shrimp cuttlefish etc).

Signature food in this restaurant ; ” Sun-Du-Bu – ” has full of tofu in the soup !

Some restaurants’ Sun -Du-Bu has one dimensional flavor . But Sun-Du-Bu in this restaurant has a deep , savory flavor. I enjoyed having soup itself.

Of course, restaurant has popular menu such as Bulgogi (Korean style grilled beef ) , Samgyeopsal (Korean style pork belly) Bibimbap(Mix rice with vegetable) and Samgyetang (Korean style chicken soup). We can add Samgyeopsal in lunch menu as option.

Remarkable menu is Samgyetang. This restaurant Samgyetang is cooked from the scratch and it was made over a long period of time.

By the way, restaurant accepts group gathering and provide reasonable menu for the group.(2,980yen / pax for 120mins / 3,580yen /pax for 150mins. Please check the detail in the menu.)

Access:

1-15-7, Aobadai.

Use the east exit and go to Kanjyo No. 4 towards the east. Keep right side. There is 2nd traffic light, turn right to the small road. You can see 3 restaurants and 3rd one is this restaurant.( Ramen(Kitamura-ya), Butcher shop (Stadt Schinken) and Han Gang Soon-Doo-Boo.)
