Oni Miso Ramen – this ramen restaurant was very popular and gained popularity when it was located in the Tohmei (highway) Machida interchange area.
Now, it came back but now in Aobadai where we take 2mins from Aobadai station!
- Restaurant

By the way, Oni means ” Japanese demon ” and Miso is soy bean paste. Why they use ” Oni”? We can find it out later.
2. Atmosphere
When you open the door, demon welcomes us.

Inside of the restaurant, it is quite spacious . It doesn’t like small and narrow Ramen restaurant. Counter table is set 2 parts. 1 is at the kitchen area and the other is main hall in the restaurant. If you come with a friend, there is a table for 2 as well. Anyway, don’t worry because friendly couple welcomes us and guide us to the table.

3: Food

I ordered Miso Ramen. Actually, I wanted their signature food ” Oni Miso Ramen” but I just recovered from stomach flu so I ordered Miso Ramen. But, Look! char shew (a slice of roast pork) and menma (seasoned bamboo shoot) are generously big!
I tried their signature miso taste of ramen soup firstly. Yes, ramen soup is a bit spicy. But above all, miso taste is very delicious. Why? because this miso paste that they use are made in Nagano prefecture specifically for this restaurant ! So special !
Noodle is neither soft and hard. It’s just nice. (really !) The soup clings to the noodles perfectly!

I couldn’t resist trying the Oni Miso Ramen, so I went back to the restaurant a few days later.

Tada~! Finally I had Oni-Miso Ramen. Look at gorgeous braised pork belly on the ramen!

Braised pork belly is so thick. But once you eat this pork, pork is very tender and soft. Very juicy taste, too.
When it comes to the ramen restaurant, normally Japanese order Gyoza (dumpling) with ramen . Of course, I ordered it too!
Their gyoza have 2 types. One is regular type (meat/chives). the other is spicy miso paste taste. Gyoza was very big! I ate all by myself but basically it can be shared by 2 people if ladies order LOL.

I ordered pretty regular items though, each ramen has a variety of selections. Ramen has 4 types.
1. Miso taste (soy bean paste) 2. Miso SeAbura (rich soy bean paste) 3. Syoyu (soy sauce ) 4: SeAbura syoyu (rich soy sauce)
Must not forget ! Restaurant recommendation is ” Oni(demon)” ramen which has ” braised pork” on the ramen. Please try it! Braised pork in the restaurant must be very delicious!
And when we order ramen (noodle), we can have a free bowl of rice! Wow, so generous!
By the way, for spicy lovers, this restaurant prepares for 3 levels of spiciness. (price is different each levels).
And also each ramen has a variety of toppings for option.
Personally, I love their miso paste very much. The taste is flavorful more than I expected. Definitely I will come back for this ramen!
