Even we are Japanese, this restaurant ‘s gate attracts us ..It’s a small gate that seems to be very ancient style. What ‘s going on inside? It looks very inviting us from the street.

Hakata Sakura- Hakata means location name in Kyusyu island.Hakata is a main area of Fukuoka prefecture, Kyusyu island (Southen island in Japan).
<Where is Hakata?>
Hakata is Hakata-ku (” ku ” is ward ) in Fukuoka-city , Fukuoka prefecture. Principal government, commercial , retail, entertainment establishement are located in this ward. It takes 4.4hours from JR Shin-Yokohama station to Hakata station by Shinkan-sen Nozomi.
So, this Hakata Sakura , definitely, we can expect to enjoy Hakata food!
2: Atmosphere
Once we enter the restaurant, we are welcomed by restaurant staff with cheerful voice ” Irassyai mase!” (which means welcome!). Inside of the restaurant also, we can see very traditional style of interior deco.
2: Food
Hakata is famous for Mentaiko (spicy fish egg; spicy pollack roe). Can we enjoy a mentaiko menu here? Yes! there are a variety of mentaiko menu.
Popular menu is Hakata motsu nabe( motsu: innards of beef , nabe: pot). You think ” what? innards of beef ?” We like to have this motsu nabe in Japan. Motsu holds collagen. It is good for our skin! This is very yummy with spicy soup. Please try it! Something interesting !
Of course, this restaurant has many food. They are also famous for charcoal grill . Restaurant staff can grill in front of you if you seat in the counter seat. Recommended one is ” Chiran chicken” (Chiran= a part of area in Kyushu island. Chicken was grown up in Chiran, Kyushu). Enjoy it with just a pepper and salt. You can enjoy Japanese chicken taste well by that.
I brought 2 foreigners to this restaurant. They really enjoyed this restaurant food and atmosphere. So hope you can enjoy this restaurant!
Not forgetting, there are also many Japanese sake. You can try these sake with good food.
