[Aobees’ report] SOCORA bespoke chocolate lab

I’ve never imagined that there is a chocolate specialty shop in Aobadai. Yes, there is! SOCORA bespoke chocolate lab. What a blessed town Aobadai is!

Where is the shop?

SOCORA is located in Wakakusa-dai where is peaceful residential area near Sakuradai Village. Though 20mins. walking from Aobadai station, if you visit this shop in the weekend, you found that customers keep on coming in this shop! If you take a bus from Aobadai station, use No. 31 bounds for Kamoshida Danchi (鴨志田団地)and alight on the bus stop “Garden House” where is after the bus stop Sakuradai Village. (Bus stop is just in front of in Chateraise and Lawson)

the shop is highlighted part

How is the chocolate?

You will be really amazed at all chocolates in SCORA once you look at their showcase. Each chocolate is bite size and all look so beautifully designed. Some has flower printed and some has logo on the chocolate. Yes, chocolate in SCORA IS “bonbon de chocolat”.(bite size of chocolate) it reminds me of chocolate shop in because many bonbon de chocolat shops here and there in Bergium. An owner in SCORA is a pattisier who is purely Japanese. He used to work in Michelin restaurant, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo and etc.. then opened SCORA at Wakakusa-dai in 2016.

Actually SCORA is the place for producing chocolates as a manufacturer therefore probably the owner named in the shop name “Lab”. The day I visited this shop was before Valentine’s Day therefore a staff looked so busy for packaging chocolates in boxes! Behind their show case, we can see their kitchen.

All nice chocolates are from the kitchen behind the show case
For the souvenir or for your mouth? lol

So, today what did I order? I choose the taste of Uji Maccha ( I decided to buy this taste before I visited this shop!), Yuzu and Mandarin Orange. Furthermore, I bought a chocola cake and a cup of chocola chaud!

I enjoyed Chocolat chaud. Smooth and tasty. Tres bien!

SOCORA ‘s Chocolat chaud is almost same taste that I had in Netherland. Thank you, SOCORA, I really enjoyed this Chocolat chaud.

So, today’s my tea time sweets are SOCORA ‘s chocolates and cake.

Chocolate cake and bonbon -Green dot design is Mandarin Orange, then uji maccha and orange shining design is Yuzu

Okay, I tasted all. All are beautiful. What I like the most was Yuzu. I can’t forget this taste till now. I didn’t know that Yuzu goes well with chocolate. Mandarin Orange is also good. But Yuzu is the still best for me because a pattisier really made use of Yuzu taste well yet chocolate taste is firmly kept in the entire taste. Probably this pattisier really treasure the fruit producers therefore he made use of ingredients well in the chocolate. Not forgetting Maccha is purely nice. Great mariage. About chocolat cake – exactly my taste which is very rich and addictive ! (lol) I had tried many chocolates in Europe, but SOCORA is the right place for me to enjoy real chocolate in Japan!

If you want to bring a souvenir to your friend, SOCORA’s chocolate is highly recommended for the souvenir !
