
If I feel like eating french food, I used to go to the city (Tokyo) for dining out. But now I don’t need to go down to the city because CEALY is here ! CEALY is casual french restaurant in Aobadai.
Where is the restaurant?

The restaurant is located in Sakuradai area. The main street from Aobadai station towards to Tachibanadai, there is the junction ” Sakuradai-danchi Entrance(桜台団地入口)”. Turn left to the small road from the junction and the restaurant is there on the middle of the slope. Approx. 10mins from Aobadai station on foot but you can enjoy walking in the street till CEALY since there are many attractive shops along the street. If you walk from the station to CEALY, you should be hungry enough !

Atmosphere

Once you go inside the restaurant, you will feel cozy because friendly staff welcome you. Beautiful sunshine comes from the doors at the entrance. Interior is simple and minimal style but wooden furtnitures give heartwarming feeling. There are counter seats where you can enjoy your time by wine and snacks probably? I am very sure that the lightings in the counter area must create a kind of the mood in the evening.

You can find tables if you come alone, with a friend or even groups! I strongly recommend to make a reservation before you come to this restaurant.
Food
I ordered the lunch course (1800yen++). Appetiser, soup, salad, main dish , dessert with coffee. We can select main dish from a few choices. I ordered duck fillet for my main dish.
Look, appetiser is served by this plate. I feel that it looks very zen’s style.

A chef carefully choose seasonable fresh ingredients to cook. Especially I loved an oyster fritter which was beautifully cooked. Sauce for the fritter is very unique that is made by egg.( I wanted to order this oyser more!)



Tada~ My main dish is served. Duck fillet, green beans from France, radish, and galette style of potato.Colour coordination is also beautiful, isn’t it? Bon appetit with a glass of wine!

Initially, I thought that duck might be oily when I ordered. But when I had it, it doesn’t oily so much and green beans matches with duck taste well.

if talking about 2nd highlight in the course menu, it is always dessert! I ordered chef’s recommendation ” Caramel mousse” . Dessert is served with coffee or tea.

Very interesting recipe. Caramel mousse, fried sweet potato, and baked sweet potato. Before I had this mousse, I used a folk to taste the sweet potato below. This sweet potato is baked and finished by “cremble” style. It tastes well with sweetness of potato! After that, I had a mousse. Once I put this mousse in my mouth, it is very soft and caramel taste will be full in my mouth. Yes, perfect dessert!
Lastly, owner’s couple can speak English and French! So , don’t be shy. Just talk to them casually!
